Worship With Us

What are the worship services like?

Sunday morning worship at Mineral Wells First Church of the Nazarene is a great time of celebration where people come together as the family of God to give praise to, and seek the will of our heavenly Father.

Our worship service is primarily traditional and with some contemporary music. Sister Beverly capably leads us in some of the great hymns of the church. Music currently is primarily piano with occasional recorded music. We have talented singers who provide us with special music each Sunday. We are seeking individuals who are gifted in playing guitar, bass and drums to give us a greater variety of music.

We spend time in prayer—as we recognize that prayer is the most powerful tool that the church has when it comes to changing the world for Christ and meeting the needs of hungry and hurting people.

Pastor Jane Hughes leads the congregation in studying God's Holy Word. Pastor Hughes is a  woman of God who has a passion for the word and teachings of Christ. She preaches from the scriptures, but always explains/teaches in such a clear, concise way that we can apply it to our everyday life. Each week we learn to grow in our walk with Christ and ultimately develop into stronger, more mature Christians.

What Do I Wear?

No matter what your personal style, you’ll be comfortable at Mineral Wells First Church. If you prefer dressy, business, or casual attire, chances are there will be others dressed much like you no matter when you visit. Sure, Sunday mornings are a time when many prefer to dress up a bit, but even if jeans are more your style, you’ll be right at home with us. Sunday and Wednesday  evenings are even more casual than Sunday morning.
